history
In the early 20th century, a mixture of homes and light industrial/commercial buildings were developed in this particular area of Palma Ceia Park. This small sized neighborhood was characterized by Arts & Crafts style bungalows, narrow roads, and the lots featured plentiful vegetation and trees. In the 1920’s, the I.W. Phillips & Co. Builders Supplies warehouse once stood at the current location of the Belfair Park site, and on the opposite side of Mississippi Avenue was the Florida Container Corporation.
